Dr. Avant- was kind, personable, knowledgeable, and direct with his information. The only reason for 4 stars because while Dr. Avant was non-threatening, the lack of personal space could be a trigger for trauma survivors. I’m sure that most patients find his hands on approach endearing and provide good bedside manner. However, for some, this could trigger an unintentional emotional response from lack of respectable personal space.

Based on the initial visit and interview and examination with Dr Avant I was impressed by his honesty and truthfulness about the condition of my arm. I was also impressed buddy support staff from receptionists and and medical support staff. I've dealt with SOS through Dr Langerman and I feelDr Reddit for 20 plus years have always been highly please with their work on both my wife, who is now deceased and myself. I feel the same confidence and Dr Avant as I have in other doctors at SOS.

Great Doctor and staff. I had a reverse shoulder replacement on Oct 26. Very little pain after a couple of days. Just went back for my 6 week follow up. All good to this point. I would and have recommended Dr Avant to others.

Didn't help with the issue I came in for and just made it hurt worse. Had to wait over an hour to have them perform a half-measured treatment that did nothing but cost me.

I seen Orthopedic doctors for over 20 years due to 11 broken bones, knee surgeries, including replacement, elbow surgeries and years of chronic pain. Wish I’d found Dr. Avant sooner.

Was very thorough in his diagnosis and suggested treatment. Explaining his approach/solution and the reasoning for it compared to other possible treatment options.

Dr. Avant exceeded my expectations with my joint fusion procedure. The discomfort was minor compared the pain I endured from arthritis. Dr. Avant is a wonderful doctor and a kind person. Many thanks, Dr. Avant!

This man has saved my life. No hyperbole. I was near suicide with unrelenting pain. I suffered for ten years with little relief from the narcotics 3 different "pain Specialists" said was my only hope. A full reverse shoulder replacement and 7 days later off of narcotics. 6 months later working in my ganrder and other activities, occasionally strenous work, that give me joy. If that is not saving a life, at least he gave my life meaning. Trust him, heed his advice, there is great benefit to be had in his care. I hope this is not too personal to be published. The public needs to know this.
