I had an appointment with Dr. Karim to follow up on an MRI I had on Wednesday. While waiting for Dr. Karim, PA Emily swooped into the exam room, told me I had a tear in my rotator cuff. She said Dr Karim would be in to explain it to me. After waiting for Dr. Karim, Emily came back to inform me Dr. Karim doesn’t do rotator cuffs and suggested I see an associate I have been under Dr. Karim’s care for shoulder issues for several months. I am highly disappointed that she did not review the MRI with me. I am highly disappointed that she herself did not tell me that I needed to see someone else. I left, never seeing the Dr. with whom I had an appointment and an appointment with an associate. Hopefully I will actually see a Dr. on my next visit.
