Dr. Kristi Liu, O.D., knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. After volunteering at Audio Reader, a service for the visually impaired, she was drawn to the importance of the gift of sight. She also always felt visits to her childhood optometrist were fun!
Dr. Liu attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She then moved to Ohio for a Primary Care residency at the Dayton VA. It was an honor to work with veterans while gaining valuable experience managing their care in a multi-disciplinary approach with other healthcare specialists.
Dr. Liu takes pride in being a good listener. Her approach to patient care is centered on communication and believes it is critical to ensure patients understand what is going on with their eyes.
Dr. Liu is a member of the American Optometric Association, Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, and Portland Metro Optometric Society. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts and performing arts events, cheering on the Trail Blazers, and exploring Portland’s food scene. She also enjoys spending time with family and slow walks with her pug.
