Krista Stephenson, MD

Dr. Krista Stephenson, M.D., is a board-certified General and Endocrine Surgeon at Surgical Specialists of Charlotte. An alumna of the University of South Alabama and the University of Arkansas residency program, she completed an elite Endocrine Surgery fellowship at Baylor Scott and White.

Dr. Stephenson considers it an honor to serve patients, and delights in the opportunity to bring hope and healing to their lives. She has specialty training in endocrine surgery, which includes performing complex thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal procedures. Dr. Stephenson also offers robotic surgery, including robotic adrenalectomy and hernia repair. She has a passion for global health equity and she is involved in humanitarian surgery as well as medical education programs in low- and middle-income countries.

Dr. Stephenson performs surgery at Novant Health and Atrium Health System facilities. She is part of our Huntersville office team, where she welcomes new patients from North Mecklenburg and the surrounding areas.
