Kogulan Nadesakumaran, MD

Dr. Kogulan Nadesakumaran is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon who provides comprehensive care for vascular conditions, including minimally invasive endovascular procedures, open surgical interventions, and medical management of peripheral artery disease, aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and venous disorders. He is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery.

After earning his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, Dr. Nadesakumaran completed his residency in general surgery at Albany Medical Center, where he garnered an award for best surgical resident teacher. He then completed his fellowship training in vascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he also served as an Administrative Fellow.

Dr. Nadesakumaran’s practice combines his deep interest in biology and science with a passion for working with people. He applies evidence-based knowledge to make a real, immediate impact on patients’ lives, but is especially gratified by the opportunity to treat patients over time and see the long-term benefits to their health. With a care philosophy that centers on treating each patient with empathy and respect, he believes in shared decision-making to support each patient’s unique needs and goals.

Outside of work, Dr. Nadesakumaran enjoys skiing, mountain biking and sailing, and is a fan of motorsports. His interests extend to travel, history, and Westem and Indian percussion instruments.
