We like that he had explained everything by showing us the pictures and talking to us about it except the hand pain has not gone away and it hurts like crazy right after I saw him when I went home and taking the pain medicine does not help I like to know what else to do it hurts a lot.

Dr. Quaye enjoys all aspects of vascular surgery, but has a particular interest in peripheral arterial disease (PAD) as well as carotid disease. His training exposed him to an alarmingly high rate of amputations related to PAD and therefore one of his goals is to reduce this rate not just in central Texas, but also to provide education to help reduce this nationwide. His interest in carotid disease stems from the fact that roughly 10% of ischemic strokes are presumed secondary to atherosclerotic disease where the carotid artery divides. With his training in standard endarterectomy as well as minimally invasive transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR), he is equipped to treat patients in order to prevent life-altering strokes.
He is an active member of the Society of Black Vascular Surgeons, Society of Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical and Vascular Surgery, Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society, and the American Medical Association. In addition, Dr. Quaye has authored numerous publications and given various conference presentations in the field of general and vascular surgery.
