Dr. Kishin Ramani, M.D., earned his medical degree at his qualifying institution, and completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University. He then finished his fellowship in advanced cardiology and noninvasive imaging modalities at Northwestern University Medical Center. A board-certified cardiologist and award-winning American Heart Association research fellow, Dr. Ramani specializes in contrast MRI myocardial viability assessments. Joining HCCI in 1997, he utilizes his clinical expertise to serve as the Director of Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Kishin Ramani, M.D., completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He subsequently attended Fellowship in Cardiology at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois under the tutelage of the renowned Dr. Robert Bonow. He pursued additional training in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. His research contributions include seminal work done on contrast MRI in the assessment of myocardial viability in patients with coronary artery disease and heart failure. He has also published basic research in myocardial ischemia in the aging heart. His particular interests include coronary artery disease, risk stratification by nuclear stress testing, congestive heart failure and lipid management.
Dr. Ramani joined Heart Care Centers of Illinois in 1997 and serves as the Director of Nuclear Cardiology at MetroSouth Medical Center, Blue Island and Heart Care Centers of Illinois. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He has additional qualifications in noninvasive imaging: Certification from the National Board of Echocardiography and Diplomat of the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Ramani is a recipient of several awards including the American Heart Association Post Doctoral Research Fellowship award and the American College of Cardiology (Illinois Chapter) prize for clinical and research competition.
