Kimberly N. Cross, M.D., is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist dedicated to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care for women of all ages at Southern OBGYN in Valdosta, Georgia.
Originally from Cleveland, Mississippi, and raised just outside of Chicago, Dr. Cross earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Cross has a passion for women’s health that extends beyond the exam room. She has been featured on multiple media platforms for her expertise in patient education and her commitment to empowering women with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed healthcare decisions.
Dr. Cross provides a full range of OB/GYN services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, well-woman exams, contraception counseling, menopause management, and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. She is known for her approachable, attentive care and her dedication to building strong patient relationships.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Cross enjoys working out, floral arranging, and shopping. She and her husband, Alonzo, an NFL official, love traveling and spending time with family.

Dr. Cross was absolutely amazing today. After receiving some difficult news, she took the time to make sure I fully understood everything that was going on. She was very compassionate, patient, and comforting throughout the entire visit. She truly went above and beyond to provide not only excellent medical care, but also emotional support . I felt heard, supported, and cared for. I’m very grateful to have a doctor like Dr. Cross who genuinely cares about her patients.
Dr Cross is so kind and genuine. Even though she talks to hundreds of patients you really feel like you’re the only one. She’s very personable and stays engaged throughout the whole appointment.
I just love her! She listens well.
I love my visits with Dr Cross. She is so warm can caring when it come to meeting my personal needs. Whatever issue/concern I have about my personal health she will definitely get to the bottom of it. I am so grateful that I am in her more than capable hands.
