Dr. Kim Schaap received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. After a residency with the University of Minnesota’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery, she joined our clinic in 1999.
Dr. Schaap has a special interest in sports medicine, including arthroscopic knee and shoulder procedures, as well as minimally invasive joint replacements. She is also experienced in robotically assisted joint replacement.

Dr. Schaap is such a good listener. She had plenty of time to answer all of my questions. She showed empathy and compassion for what I'm going through. I left knowing what my issue is and how I can get better. I highly recommend her!
I was overwhelmed with the care, concern, and professionalism Kim gave to me as her patient. She thoroughly explained my injury and the steps to take to heal. She took her time and listened to me. I will continue to see Kim and recommend her to family and friends.
Excellent surgeon. Really happy with the new knee
We waited an hour and a half in a room and never got to see the provider. The PA came in and talked to us but then later came back and said they were to busy that the provider is just going to order an MRI and would not be seeing me. I took off work early to make this appt only to not be seen
