Dr. Ki Lin graduated from Stanford University in 1991 with a BA in Human Biology. He then moved to Houston where he earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1996. Next, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the New England Medical Center in Boston in 2001. He then stayed in Boston to complete a spine surgery fellowship at the New England Baptist Hospital in 2002.
Dr. Lin began his private practice career in Austell and Douglasville, GA, before moving to Albany, GA in 2008, where he has developed a thriving practice with many loyal patients. He now returns to the Carrollton area to be closer to family.
Although trained as a surgeon, Dr. Lin is a strong advocate of conservative treatment for neck and back pain. He advises surgery only when necessary, or as a last resort. If surgery does become necessary, Dr. Lin is well versed in the latest techniques in spinal surgery including kyphoplasty (cement treatment for vertebral fractures), disc replacement surgery, and minimally invasive techniques for spine surgery. In addition, for those patients who have already had prior surgery, Dr. Lin is experienced in revision surgeries where necessary, as well as spinal cord stimulation for treatment of chronic low back and/or leg pain for patients in which spine surgery is no longer an option.
Dr. Lin and his wife Tishawna, who is from Atlanta, have 5 children and reside in Carrollton.
