Dr. Kevin Murphy at Southeast Orthopedics did an absolutely amazing job on my knee surgery. From the initial consultation through surgery and recovery, he was professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. My surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been better than I expected thanks to his skill and care. I’m incredibly grateful and would highly recommend Dr. Murphy to anyone needing knee surgery or orthopedic care.

Dr. Kevin Murphy is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine. During his collegiate career, Dr. Murphy played football for Army, which ignited his passion to pursue a career in the sports medicine field.
Dr. Murphy is a retired Army Colonel and has used his medical training to serve his country in many ways, including as the orthopedic consultant to The White House and The Pentagon. He is also the former chief of orthopedics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Sports medicine is his passion, which he uses to serve the Jacksonville community as the team physician for various Duval and St. John’s county high schools, as well as for the Jacksonville Icemen and the University of North Florida Athletics.
