Dr. Kevin Murphy is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine. During his collegiate career, Dr. Murphy played football for Army, which ignited his passion to pursue a career in the sports medicine field.
Dr. Murphy is a retired Army Colonel and has used his medical training to serve his country in many ways, including as the orthopedic consultant to The White House and The Pentagon. He is also the former chief of orthopedics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Sports medicine is his passion, which he uses to serve the Jacksonville community as the team physician for various Duval and St. John’s county high schools, as well as for the Jacksonville Icemen and the University of North Florida Athletics.

Explained my surgical procedure, tested my ROM along with strength and shared ways to decrease my discomfort.
First time patient visit was positive. Thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of the Office Staff at Check-in. X-ray technician completed my x-ray quickly and I was seen promptly afterwards. Looking forward to team up with Dr. Murphy and his staff to determine root cause of my medical issue.
