Dr. Logel is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialist focusing on sports injuries, post-traumatic reconstruction, and chronic conditions of the foot and ankle. Following his medical school training at UNC Chapel Hill, he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Utah Hospitals and a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Union Memorial / Johns Hopkins Hospitals in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Logel has a special interest in dance medicine and sports injuries of the foot and ankle. He has worked closely with the Carolina Ballet since 2005 and is Foot and Ankle Consultant for the UNC Department of Sports Medicine. Dr. Logel has presented his research at regional and national meetings and has published several journal articles and book chapters on foot and ankle conditions. From 2005-2007 he served as a Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedics at WakeMed teaching UNC Orthopaedic residents. Dr. Logel lives in Raleigh with his wife and two sons.

Very nice and explained things clearly. I’m holding back on five stars as I just saw him and want to make sure the treatment works. I would be happy to give him five stars when I’m feeling better.
Dr. Logel was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad I sought him out. His demeanor is great . He explained everything in a manner I would understand and discussed the pros and cons of surgery vs. letting my injury heal naturally. I truly felt he cared about me and my outcome which is greatly appreciated . I knew I was in good hands and appreciated him following up after surgery.
Never saw the doctor
Very nice doctor. He listened to me and was interested in making me feel better. He knows how to deal with people. I was confident that he would take care of me.

No bedside manner. Cut & dry. Physicians deal with humans. A smile is a comfort to most humans. Didn’t explain my issue thoroughly.

I recently had surgery to repair a tendons in my foot, and I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Logel and his team. Dr. Logel was incredibly skilled, thorough, and took the time to answer all of my questions with care and patience. He made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. His staff is just as wonderful! I’m so grateful for the excellent care I received and highly recommend Dr. Logel to anyone in need of a compassionate and talented surgeon.
