The best foot/ankle doctor ever! I have had 2 serious injuries, surgically repaired, performed by Dr. Logel and his team, and both came thru with the best outcomes and results possible!

Dr. Logel was great & patient explaining my condition and options.

Clearly explained diagnosis and next steps. I thought he may have reviewed my charts from previous surgery with him but he was going to do after the appointment.

Kind enough but In a big hurry. Touched one area of my foot. Zero interest since X-rays were mostly ok and he felt no surgical intervention was required. I had to press him for shoe recommendations. Don’t bother going unless you already know you need surgery. Like most of these guys, it’s all about getting you under the knife.

Dr. Logel has previously operated on me with excellent results, fully healed, no problems. I know he will do his best again, 11 years and a different problem later.

Basically he stated he didn’t want to do much on first visit but evaluate And that’s OK cause we’re all different. He seem to be very knowledgeable and I’ve only been able to do one thing he’s told me to do and I can tell a difference already. I don’t think he’s one to coddle/ baby you but that’s OK. Not rude just hey this it how it is and if you don’t agree go see another doctor . I like somebody that knows what the heck they’re doing and I do get the impression he does.i didn’t give 5 stars bc all we really did was talk about a plan.

So nice to work with on all the details

So far, it’s been a good experience. The people in OR didn’t put my boot on properly twice, resulting in me having it on wrong for the majority of my recovery, but not sure whose responsibility that is. There was a lot of post op instruction, but no prepping written instruction or expectation given, which I have learned is common after 2 surgeries in NC. Wasn’t the case in Northern Virginia. I will not know the actual review outcome for several weeks however as I just got stitches out, foot is still swollen and I still feel like I have a thing betweeen my toes.

He updated me on what happened. Also answered all my questions. Reassurances that everything went good. Also share some facts to help me take care of myself.

I get the rushed thing. being a doc myself I often get to mentally take a breath when my pt is smart and direct. I left not knowing if I should have come in or not. Never looked at broken toe which is OK, but if I were a foot Orthopod that would spark my interest and lead to a quick assessment followed by a few choice comments. But thats ok. He is not me. I wish he was a better communicator letting the patient know what he recommends and why also how the procedures will be performed and what the aftermath will be like. Also, communication after surgery as to how it went and checking in to be sure patient has pain under control. Apparently surgery went well but I did not feel adequately informed along the way.

PA exam was okay but Dr Logel barely examined me. I feel he was dismissive of my symptoms after hearing I had Parkinson’s. Also I wasn’t given injection consent until after the injection at the end of the appointment. And although I had injections years ago for tendinitis in the elbows, it would’ve been good to review side effects etc.

First of all we waited and hour to get taken back. Then when we got in the room waited another 45 mins to be told he couldn’t help my son. His exact words were “can’t do surgery on someone that hurts” never mind he’s been in a feeling boot for a year! TOTAL waste of time!

Lacking empathy

I am not pleased with the progression of my fractured foot. 8 months later I am still having pain and Dr Logel does not feel I need a CT scan. I feel like he should do everything he can to rule out all possibilities that maybe causing my pain! If nothing is found with the scan, then I will know it is something I will have to deal with. 8 months is long enough! I'm ready for a second opinion!
