Dr. Kenneth Wenthen, O.D., completed his undergraduate studies at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where he graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Biology. He went on to SUNY State College of Optometry, where he completed clinical internships at New York Vision Group in Manhattan, Northport VA Medical Center, and SUNY’s University Eye Center.
Dr. Wenthen is experienced in general optometry as well as ocular disease, including glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Wenthen resides in Amawalk with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, and playing the piano.

Dr. Wenthen checks all of the boxes. Extremely knowlegable, excellent communication, patient and just a genuinely good person!
Dr. Wenthen is a skilled physician. I generally HATE eye drops, but Dr. Wenthen puts them in my eyes skillfully and quickly, much to my relief. I was diagnosed with Geographic Atrophy. I worried that I would totally lose my vision. Dr. Wenthen spoke to me kindly and reassuringly about my eyes. He answered my questions in a way that I understood. It is wonderful to have such and excellent and caring doctor.
