He recently performed a total hip replacement on me and I could not be more pleased with his exceptional job. I had almost no pain and recovered quickly and completely. I also had both knees replaced in the past year and I wish I'd have known about Dr Schmidt before those surgeries.

AFter waiting 10 days to see the doctor (my PCP put in an urgent request) 4:30 on a Friday he ordered blood work and a CT. Surgery was scheduled originally for Monday. But the scheduler called and said my insurance pre-authorization closed at 4 PM so they won't get the authorization until Monday. I have no idea where or how to schedule a CT and have no instructions. I will call the office on Monday to find some answers. (BTW I have an infection near my hip prosthesis--so everything was ordered STAT) I like Dr.Schmidt and trust his medical judgement. But the logistics of care are very poor.

Bennysug ("Beneficial Suggestion") My wife put my appointment on her calendar program which, of course, assumed we were going into standard time and changed a 1pm to a 12 noon. I confirmed the 1 pm time by going to the text I was sent by Ortho Arizona. last Friday. That text said it was at the "North Mountain location and that I should arrive 15 minutes early." Wanting the exact address, I hit the provided link (othoarizona.org/ locations...) and it returned an error message. So I called and was put on terminal hold and then, after choosing to be called back, told that a return call would take several hours. And I DID NOT need to arrive 15 minutes early. WASTING MY TIME IS NOT A GOOD THING.

I had a revision and total reconstruction surgery and will be having a total knee replacement performed by him soon with the Mako robotic assist. He is extremely confident and gives options.

This doctors visit was awful.i got a call day before from office for information so i didn't have to when i got there, first thing when i got there they wanted me to fill out paper work, also this visit was for consult and 1 x-ray for my lower left tibia. when i went in for x-ray the nurse says we are looking my knee.wrong! then she took 2 x-rays and i told her i just wanted one because of no ins.then went in room to meet with doctor.i had given them recent x-rays and the doctor didn't even know this. he also told me he doesn't handle this type of injury in which the office/shannon said he does.he then set me up for ct scan which i did not want and had to cancel.then at check out i had mentioned about 33% discount in which i did not get! i felt like nobody in the whole office new what was going on or what i was there for. VERY DISSAPOINTED!would never go back there or recommend to anyone!

This picture does not look like the Dr. Kenneth Schmidt whom I met, but masks can make a difference! Dr. Schmidt was knowledgeable and professional, caring and concerned. The fact that I had to wait almost 2 hours to see him did not set well with me at the time, but all is well that ends well. In the past, I have been to this practice for Dr. Ryan Odgers and overall, I am completely satisfied with the care I have received. I am sure my last encounter was an exception, not the rule.

I had a bad mountain bike fall and injured my hip so I came to see Dr. Schmidt and choose him based off his positive reviews. He was great and easy to talk to. When explaining my MRI results he was very detailed and showed me exactly everything that was injured in my hip. He never rushed the appointments and made sure all of my questions were answered. Luckily my injuries were mild so no surgery was needed but, I would have trusted him fully if I had needed it. I highly recommend Dr. Schmidt.

My first visit to Dr Schmidt was good. Staff at Chandler location are very friendly. It was a pleasant surprise to be taken back to the exam room within 5 minutes of my appointment time and to have the Dr show up just a few minutes after that. I did not get the attention and help that I needed because my symptoms and pain response is atypical. He should have been more concentrated on me as a person first, as well as patient.

Dr. Schmidt is a fabulous caring doc. I have worked with docs for the last 13years regarding IMEs and now work where we refer injured people to Ortho AZ.
