Dr. Chakour uses a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach that includes non-operative management as well as surgical intervention. Activity modification, medication, physical therapy, bracing, injections and pain management are common nonsurgical treatments, with surgery as a last option.
Following surgery, Dr. Chakour works closely with your physical therapist and care team to ensure continuity of care. Your post-operative therapy plan is designed to improve pain, swelling, range of motion, restore strength, and return you to an active lifestyle.

Dr Chakour made me feel comfortable both before and after the surgery. He followed up with me the next day by phone and answered all my questions.
Just had a Total Knee replacement surgery and I can't say enough about how great the whole ordeal. From Dr. Chakour and the entire staff to the surgery was smooth trouble free.

Dr. Chakour is extremely professional and genuinely cares about his patients! He is very conservative when it comes to my knees. After many years of gel injections, my knees got worse. Started having Cortizone injections in between gel injections. My knees still got worse (bone on bone) and I knew I needed knee replacements but was trying to buy more time to get me closer to retirement time. I have my total right knee replacement surgery 3 days ago. Dr. Chakour is amazing! I am so amazed with his top notch work! I have ZERO bruising yet!!! I was expecting a lot of bruising, but NONE so far! I am bending my knee up to 90 degrees already on my stairs! If you need a knee (or hip, etc.) doctor/surgeon, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chakour!
