He is a leading expert in diagnosing and treating hip and knee injuries, such as osteoarthritis, post traumatic arthritis and hip dysplasia.
Dr. Chakour uses a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach that includes non-operative management as well as surgical intervention. Activity modification, medication, physical therapy, bracing, injections and pain management are common nonsurgical treatments, with surgery as a last option.
Following surgery, Dr. Chakour works closely with your physical therapist and care team to ensure continuity of care. Your post-operative therapy plan is designed to improve pain, swelling, range of motion, restore strength, and return you to an active lifestyle.

I was referred to Dr Chakour for knee pain not knowing if I was at the point where I would need surgery I know as a surgeon. I was very pleased with my appointment. He said your knee is not ready. Does not need a knee replacement. What we can do right now in the meantime to help eliminate some of the pain is injections. He was so kind and compassionate, and really took my needs into consideration. I would highly recommend him. He was absolutely excellent I was a little hesitant about going to see him because he replaced a doctor that I knew well but I was so happy I had taken my doctors advice and gone to see him. He is absolutely wonderful. He treated me right away with an injection and I walked out feeling better than I walked in feeling hopefully it will discontinue to feel better.
Definitely worth the drive from Wisconsin ! Doctor Chakour was friendly and kind answered all my questions and was very thorough. His staff were all extremely kiind and pleasant also
