Dr. Kenneth J. Absalonson, O.D is a Spokane native and graduated from Mead High School. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Washington where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology. He then completed his Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR in 2013. During this program he rotated through Spokane Eye Clinic where he received specialty contact lens and cornea training.
After Residency, Dr. Absalonson spent 7 years at a multispecialty clinic in Spokane providing medical eyecare, specialty contact lens services, post-surgical management, as well as comprehensive and family eye care.
Dr. Absalonson is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry. He is also certified by the National Board of Examiners of Optometry including Advanced Competency in Medical Optometry. He is a licensed Optometrist in Washington and Idaho state and is a member of the American Optometric Association, Optometric Physicians of Washington, and the Inland Optometric Society.
His personal interests include cycling and running, music, and spending time with his family.
