Dr. Tan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology. She received her Medical Degree with Honors from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She then pursued her Dermatology Residency at the University of Iowa. She further honed her skillset by completing a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of Missouri, focusing on facial reconstruction and surgical and medical management of advanced cutaneous carcinomas. Dr. Tan is committed to providing skin cancer treatment options at Colorado Springs Dermatology Clinic by offering Mohs surgery techniques.
Dr. Tan is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Tan enjoys hiking, playing soccer and pickleball, and exploring local parks with her husband and young son.

Was in a huge hurry, not thorough with this being my first time there! Didn't care about each place on my body I was concerned about. She never even looked at the few places on the computer that her assistant typed in as I told her assistant when she asked me about my concerned areas! I didn't look at my list on my phone a second time when talking to her, since I had already told her assistant! Gave me the tiniest sample of sunscreen and a tiny sample of cream to try. Wasn't very nice.

I’ve been to many dermatologists and Dr. Tan is my favorite. I wish I found her earlier. She’s very knowledgeable and explains everything in layman’s terms. I really appreciate that she understood my condition as an African American because many doctors don’t understand conditions from that perspective.
