Dr. Shaffer is a wonderful medical caregiver. She takes time with patients to make them feel comfortable. She is very thorough with her examinations and tests. When the decision is made to perform surgery she will get you on the schedule right away. From the time you walk in the door, you are treated respectfully by all the staff you come into contact with. I am so blessed to have found Dr. Shaffer and her support staff. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Kelly Shaffer M.D., recently voted Best Urologist by Mount Pleasant Magazine (our own Dr. David Brandli was Second) and has also been awarded the InterStim™ Center of Excellence. She moved back to the Lowcountry from Charlotte, where she has been in private practice. Having grown up in a military family, Dr. Shaffer has lived in various regions of the world.

Dr. Shaffer completed her residency in Urology with advanced training in female urology and reconstructive surgery at MUSC. She returns to the lowcountry after practicing in Charlotte for the last four years. She has extensive training in prosthetic surgery for treatment of male urinary incontinence and male erectile dysfunction as well as female voiding dysfunction. Dr. Shaffer is also well trained in providing fecal incontinence treatment, but also enjoys all aspects of general urologic patient care.
Dr. Shaffer and her husband enjoy golfing, the beach and being bossed around by their two french bulldogs. They are excited to be moving back to Charleston and rejoining their family here.
