Dr. McGuire is a great doctor & I appreciate her caring nature!!

Dr. McGuire is a really wonderful doctor. I had several questions and she took the time to hear them all, answer them, and double check that I didn’t have any other questions. After years of feeling sort of “not heard” in exam rooms, it’s super refreshing to be heard and taken seriously by a provider. I trust Dr. McGuire with my health and am thankful for her expertise and care.

I was incredibly nervous about this appointment because they are always awkward for one and due to some of my issues I was just worried. But Kelly was amazing she made me feel so incredibly comfortable and like we were friends but not in a weird way and a professional way so more like professional acquaintances. Honestly I would give her an infinite number of stars she has already addressed the issues and this was my very first appointment and that blows my mind given my history of not being able to get doctors to help me at all. Thank goodness for female OBGYNs!

Respectful, provides safe environment to discuss personal concerns

Kelly is kind, personable and really listens. She uses her knowledge and experience together with her patients to create a team atmosphere

She missed a cancer that was ultimately diagnosed out of state. Then I had a recurring yeast infection and she refused to prescribe medication that had worked throughout my decades as a patient at the practice. This was also the medication that had been prescribed at a specialty clinic out of state. The arrogance of trying something completely different when I begged for the same treatment to the nurse reflects her own ego. She did not do a culture to justify the change. The medication she prescribed burned terribly and did not help. I had another condition which caused burning and choosing a topical cream knowing that, represents glaring bad judgment. I had to return to the clinic in 2 days with another doctor. She is in too much of a hurry, is not stopping to be careful and didn’t pay attention to her partners’ pattern of treatment or to the medical school specialty clinic. What’s worse she refused to accept my literally pleading for the treatment that had worked many times before.

Fantastic! Everyone there is awesome! I feel very comfortable going there.

Lack of communication

I’m not sure if she didn’t like me or if she was looking out for my interests. I felt she was given to me as a last option. I didn’t like how she looked at me or talked to me. I decided to not go with her because she only wanted to do a surgery with her liking not to mine, this is my body. Not compromising. I didn’t feel confident with her or her expertise.

Dr McGuire is awesome. She genuinely cares about my teenage daughter and her well being and myself who is menopausal. I appreciate that she still cares for women’s health beyond baby birthing years.

She explained everything well and was very friendly the nurse and her talked me through a very painful procedure it was a comfort to me.

The entire staff is always friendly and so prompt, informative and wonderful! Kelly was too. Love this health center and will recommend to anyone looking.

I have never felt as comfortable as with Dr. McGuire! Don’t loose her!

Dr McGuire is such an incredible doctor. She’s been there for me through my miscarriage to my first delivery. She’s very knowledgeable and approachable. I cannot recommend her enough.

Dr McGuire appeared to be a kind competent person, however ultimately at 35 weeks I decided to move to another practitioner because I was not confident in her ability to provide adequate care. A third time mother I consistently expressed concerns based on outcomes with my first 2 births that felt dismissed. I did not confront Dr McGuire directly but instead quietly decided to make a change.

Dr. McGuire has been more helpful to me than any other doctor. I have been struggling with a condition for years and I have visited many doctors but only Dr. McGuire has given me solutions and a plan. I wish I would have found her years ago.

This is the best initial dr’s appt I’ve ever had. I can’t get over how kind Dr McGuire and her staff are. She sat with me and answered all my questions. There was no feeling of being rushed. She was very in the moment and very easy to talk to. I’m grateful I found her.

Forgot to send in my prescription

I felt like Dr. McGuire cared if I was well. Meant a lot because I am always nervous going to dr. appointments, wondering if everything is ok. When I feel like the doctor cares, I trust what they say.

Kelly was ok but she wasn’t the doctor I was scheduled to see. She’s a gynecologist and I needed my annual checkup to discuss a plan for lab tests, heart health, and other senior health screening.

This wasn’t my doctor. I was seen by Lori Rumen and it was the worst experience of my life!

I always come away from my appointments feeling that I have been skillfully examined, my problems addressed and questions answered all in the most kind and compassionate way.

Dr. McGuire is an excellent listener, provides several options, and I've never felt like she's pressured me to make the decision that she would prefer, like providers in the past have done. She gives education, and provides space for me to decide what is best for me. The support staff for WHA are amazing too. I've experienced OBGYN provider groups where the doctor may be great, but the schedulers, billers, front desk staff, etc. are terrible, and therefore the healthcare visits were not great. This has not been my experience at WHA. They're all wonderful.

Dr. McGuire went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable about her surgery. Not only is she a fantastic surgeon, she has a warm and compassionate bedside manner. I felt confident that my daughter was in good hands.
