Dr. Keith VanderGriend, a partner at Parkway General Surgeons, received his medical degree and training in 1999 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before returning to the Bellingham area to practice. With nearly 20 years of surgical experience, he brings a dedicated skill set to the diagnosis and treatment of his patients. He specializes in colorectal surgical care, simple and complex hernia management or repair, gallbladder disease, colon cancer, advanced laparoscopic procedures and emergent trauma care.
As a Bellingham native, Dr. VanderGriend is very active in the community and involved in Young Life youth mentoring and Bellingham Food Bank, and participates in international mission trips that benefit from his training and background.
Together with his wife and two sons, Dr. VanderGriend enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities. They love and appreciate the Pacific Northwest and the beauty it has to offer.
