He came in the room, telling me what was going on with my first meeting never introduced himself or greeted me or asked me my symptoms. I wasn’t there about my shrimp allergy that he went on and on about, and would not let me stop him to tell him I was there about my mold, allergy with severe congestion.

He diagnosed my long term cough immediately; highly experienced; recommended by my former allergist who was leaving another practice. AND very nice and personable.

He is disconnected from the patient experience due to the high volume of appointments. Didn’t ask me about what has transpired with my allergies and asthma since my last visit-just mechanically looked in my nose and listened to my breathing. The nurses (I interacted with two as they ran between patients) did not weigh me, nor review my meds and I had to ask them to take my blood pressure and tell them I was on a new medication. One wrote the new med on a notepad, never pulled up my medical history and medications in the computer. The front desk staff was rude, acted as if they didn’t want to be there. I have been with the practice for some time and will likely be changing doctors. Dr Lenchner is not the same.

I have a somewhat newly discovered autoimmune esophageal disorder that has not been well studied and documented yet. Dr. Letcher gave me a plan to treat my complicated and intertwined issues. Due to all that I found out during my visit I got a little overwhelmed with everything, but he was very reassuring and kind. He is very knowledgeable and a good doctor. I really wish I could just sit and talk to him without consideration for appointments so that I could learn all there is to know about my fairly newly discovered disorder while being able to ask him questions as I go.

Very informative, listens, explains reasoning for recommendations. I appreciate that he doesn't just say "Ok, do this, take that." He can move and talk quickly and sadly, I don't think quickly anymore. Its helpful for me to write down what I want to report or discuss. I feel empowered when I leave. I like being able to read his visit notes in the portal in case I need a reminder.

Helpful appointment, but it was odd to me that he did not even listen to my lungs but said everything sounds under control, just based on my description. I felt like there should be an actual listening to my lungs, etc to fully be able to say everything sounds fine.

I’ve been getting allergy shots since I was 8. I’ve never had an allergist ask me as many questions as him. He will do bloodwork that is more comprehensive than my GP. And he catches things before my GP does. Hands down the best.
