Dr. Kaveh Samani is a board-certified internal medicine physician who has cared for Houston adults for more than two decades — in the clinic, at the hospital bedside, in the ICU, and in nursing homes. Internal medicine is the specialty for adults whose health has stopped fitting neatly into one box, and that's the work he does best: the patient managing high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol at once, on a medication list that has quietly grown complicated, who needs one physician holding the whole picture.

Much of his practice is built on continuity. Dr. Samani follows patients over years, adjusts course as conditions change, and coordinates directly with the specialists in his own building rather than sending people into the system to fend for themselves. He treats hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid and kidney problems, asthma and COPD, and heart disease — along with the vague, unexplained complaints (fatigue, weight change, something that's "just off") that often turn out to matter most.
He earned his medical degree at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and completed his internal medicine internship and residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. He holds privileges at Houston Methodist, HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center, and St. Joseph Medical Center, and his research on the genetics of cardiac arrhythmias has appeared in Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology and Heart Rhythm. Kaveh Samani, MD speaks Farsi (Persian) and English, and sees patients in Montrose — Upper Kirby and Northwest Houston, and by video visit anywhere in Texas.
