Katie Sanford, MD

Dr. Sanford is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been part of the PAA team since 2018 and has had roots in Austin since 2014. She has a passion for global health and has spent time internationally in countries including China, Honduras, and Panama throughout her medical training. She has many special interests including community health and supporting families influenced by postpartum depression. Her philosophy of practice emphasizes education, prevention, and collaboration. She feels humbled and honored by the opportunity to practice in a field that celebrates growth, learning, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

After completing her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science and her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology at Texas A&M University, Dr. Sanford attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, then completed her pediatric residency training at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas through the University of Texas Dell Medical School in Austin.

In her spare time, Dr. Sanford enjoys spending time with family and friends. She frequently spends time where she grew up, near Dallas, Texas, visiting her spunky niece and nephew. She loves to dance and listen to all types of music. She enjoys being outdoors and trying new restaurants around Austin. She is a big sports fan who loves to cheer on her favorite teams.
