Dr. Kate Henson is a graduate of the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Penn State Children’s Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She practiced primary care in the Penn State Pediatrics Clinic as well as in Penn State Pediatric Headache and Concussion Clinics for several years before joining us in January 2017. She is married to Dr. Baker Henson, a Catawba County general surgeon; they have two children.

Fair rating for our 1st and LAST visit with Kate. Absolutely no reason for Kate to scoff, roll her eyes or discharge us with a hateful, condescending demeanor leaving us in tears after what was supposed to be a simple check-up for mild symptoms.
Unfortunately after this disappointing visit, further community research was conducted on this provider..and yikes. Families of color or first-time parents,. I urge you to please seek providers who do make you feel safe, comfortable AND respected as a parent with health concerns for a child.
