Dr. Karisa Borba, O.D. is a proud native of the Central Valley, having been born and raised in Tulare, California. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences, she enrolled in the School of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley where she completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors.
Over the course of her academic career, Dr. Borba was a member of several honor societies. Upon completing her doctorate, she was eager to return home in order to serve the people of the Central Valley. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Central Optometric Association. She has participated in numerous vision screenings throughout the Central Valley, including young school children and veterans.
Dr. Borba provides primary eye care to patients at EYE-Q Vision Care, including eye examinations, contact lenses, as well as the treatment and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma, diabetes and macular degeneration.
