Dr. Justin Sowder, MD

Dr. Justin C. Sowder, M.D. is a native of West Texas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Biology followed by medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he graduated as valedictorian and was selected as a member to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He joins Finn Plastic Surgery after spending over three years as an Assistant Professor of Facial Plastic Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sowder has made research contributions to the field of reconstructive surgery in both the clinical and translational realms. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals such as Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine, JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America, Facial Plastic Surgery, the Journal of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, and The Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, and has been invited to publish book chapters regarding rhinoplasty and facial reanimation following facial paralysis.
