Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine is the founding Osteopathic Medical School, founded in 1892. During his time in Kirksville, he was involved with multiple community service activities, receiving the Outstanding Graduate Award and Outstanding Community Scholar Award. In 2016, Dr. Garrison established the “Justin B. Garrison, DO, Family Fund” at A.T. Still University which provides financial assistance to medical students enrolled at his alma mater.
He served as Chief Medical Resident during his residency training at Kingman Regional Medical Center in Kingman, Arizona. During his residency, Dr. Garrison pursued additional training in Sports Medicine, Women’s Health, contraceptive procedures including Nexplanon, Aesthetic procedures (Botox), Hormone Replacement Therapy, Anti-Aging, and Disability services.
Dr. Garrison has been with Healthstar Family Practice since March 2021. He loves getting to know the entire family and serving multiple generations. In addition to family medicine, Dr. Garrison is trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Geriatric Care, Women’s Health, Community Medicine, and Anti-Aging. He has a special interest in Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Thyroid Disorders, and Men’s Health. He rounds on Healthstar affiliated patients at The Lifecare Center of Morristown and The Heritage Center. In addition to this, he also serves as the Medical Director of Amedisys Home Health and Hospice.
Dr. Justin Garrison is passionate about building a stronger, more inclusive community. In January 2024, he was honored by the Morristown Task Force on Diversity with the MLK Community Award. He and his wife Toneilia and children are members of Compassion Church. He loves supporting his active boys and has served as assistant coach for his son’s youth football team, “The Morristown Gladiators.”
