Dr. Park specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery and general orthopedics. His clinical interests include: fracture care, peripheral nerve compression, tendinitis, hand arthritis, tendon repairs and transfers, congenital pediatric hand deformities and reconstructions. Dr. Park is a member of American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Park earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where his work with NCAA division I athletes led to publications in leading Orthopedic journals. He completed his residency at Temple University Hospital and rotated through Shriners Hospital for Children and St. Christopher’s Hospital for children. After completing his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Colorado, Dr. Park joined Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists in 2013. He is also affiliated with Doylestown Hospital.
Dr. Park became fascinated with hand surgery during his studies due to the highly complex, yet very delicate harmony that exist in hand anatomy. Dr. Park also loves the variety that exists in hand surgery. He provides treatment from newborns with congenital hand deformities to patients with end stage arthritis. Aside from general care and procedures, Dr. Park also performs microsurgeries as well as fracture fixations and joint replacements.
“Many of my patients tell me, “You really don’t know how much you use your hands until it stops working.” I attempt to understand every patient’s specific needs and demands. My goal is to help them return to their activities in the safest and most efficient manner,” says Dr. Jung Park.
Dr. Park’s goal is to restore the function and anatomy of the hand and upper extremity so that patients can return to full activities and enjoy their hobbies as soon as possible. His approach is to start from the most conservative and safest option that would achieve those goals to surgical reconstructive options when they are absolutely necessary and indicated.
His interest in orthopedics stems from growing up as an avid tennis and soccer player. His personal injuries and that of the teammates made Dr. Park dedicate his life’s work to help athletes as well as weekend warriors return to their fullest potential.
Dr. Park is fluent in English, Spanish and Korean. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. Outside of his passion for orthopedics, he enjoys traveling, and a range of outdoor activities including: tennis, golf, skiing, snowboarding and biking.
Dr. Park was on time and did a thorough job evaluating my injury and recommended exercises to help my healing process
Explains issues, treatments, etc patiently and clearly for his patients to understand. Speaks directly but honestly
Dr. Park was very knowledgeable and careful when my daughter broke her wrist. I really appreciate how he was talking to her to get her mind off of the pain. Thank you for taking good care of my daughter.
Great doctor!
Dr.Park shows an excellent attitude while he is dealing with the patient's problem.
I was in serious pain during my visit. But got no relief. I got better care at an urgent care facility. At the urgent care I was given IM injections of a steroid and a muscle relaxer as well as prescriptions for additional medication. Dr Park only gave me Rx for steroids. I'm still in a lot of pain and cannot work. Steroids take a long time to work. A doctor must realize that it is alright to write a Rx to treat pain.
Very professional, although very easy to talk to about the current medical situation.
My hero!
Quick, efficient and friendly
Dr Park is great, compassionate and caring. Highly recommend.
