Dr. Jiao completed his internal medicine residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York and allergy and immunology Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis/St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He also earned a PhD in molecular biology from University of Delaware and had post-doctoral research training in virology and immunology at University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
His areas of expertise include allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis (hay fever), chronic sinusitis, food and drug allergies, asthma, chronic cough, hives and swelling, atopic dermatitis (eczema), contact dermatitis, stinging insect allergy, anaphylaxis, hypereosinophilia, eosinophilic esophagitis and gastroenteritis, mast cell disorders and primary immunodeficiency. He has a particularly strong interest in asthma, and authored a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbook chapters.
He welcomes patients of all ages and provides service at our Newark (Chestnut Hill) and Middletown offices. His goal is to provide state-of-the-art patient care with a personal touch.

He always takes his time to make sure that I'm doing well. You can tell that he really cares.
He was patient and listen to my problem and was very helpful in making suggestions as to blood test and other things that could be the problem.
His staff also work hard to go over and above in caring for patients. Thank you!
This was my first visit with Dr. Jiao, and I was impressed. He was friendly, professional, and thorough. He let me fully explain my symptoms and confirmed he understood them correctly before moving on. He walked me through his assessment and his recommended approach, explaining his reasoning clearly. I asked several questions, and he took the time to answer each one. At no point did I feel rushed.
Professional
I've been a patient of Dr. Jiao for at least 5 years. I was referred to him for asthma and because he helped me manage my asthma, I also wanted him to help me with my allergies. He's been great with finding the right treatments that work best for me. If you bring your concerns to him about your health, he'll do the best that he can to help you or he'll direct you to the appropriate area for add'l assistance. Dr. Jiao is a great ENT physician.
He really listened. Prescribed a new nasal spray. Ordered lab work to possibly identify allergen. Office staff was very helpful with insurance issues.
Dr Jaio is very smart, professional, and genuinely concerned about your symptoms and overall health.
Pleasant, and to the point. Set up a plan for care. Responsive to my questions.
