My son has amblyopia and Dr. Nam was the only doctor that suggested eye therapy (patching). My son worked hard on it for years and now he is patch, and soon, eyeglass free! There was many ups and downs over the years but she stayed steady and confident, that it would work. She provided us with the current research and data about optical-neural development that allowed us to match her confidence, which was important for our son to keep patching his eye.
I would highly recommend Dr. Nam to any family.

Hey, my daughter have been seeming Dr. Nam for 5/12 years. She is a 25 weeker who has problems with her eyes. When I say trust the process. She is caring, takes times with the kids and is very knowledgeable knowing what’s going on and what approach method should be used. My daughters eyes are stronger because I listened and got the treatment. I’m still going to her so as long as I keep up with my daughters eyes the better the outcome. Thank you for taking the time and treating Sophia’s eyes I really can’t thank you enough :)

Our newborn was born with an eye issue and after giving birth we were highly recommended to seek medical assistance to diagnose the condition.
We sought additional opinions on the baby's condition. During the additional consultations, we were informed that Dr. Nam was one of the best in this field.
She is knowledgeable, patient, caring, and informative. She has about 20 Years of experience. I don't know about you but that's the Doctor I would want and had in our corner. She can be seen in either her Brooklyn or Manhattan Offices. Thankful, she was able to take our baby's case. Working with her was amazing!

Saying commands mindlessly: “honey, you can wear your glasses back”, but “oh wait, I need it to check”. I think she tried to be too efficient it looks less caring. I think a computer or robot would be more caring.

For example knowing subtlety how to get kids to pick up their prizes we she needs to go offline with the parent (which so few doctor’s do this).

Dr. Nam may be the best doctor my family has ever used. She is incredibly responsive as a communicator, thorough as a doctor, and caring as a person. She always takes the time to put me at ease and give me the information and tools I need.

Dr. Nam is a wonderful doctor. She has been monitoring my twin boys' strabismus for about a year and I have always been impressed by how she can get my very squirmy 4 yr olds to cooperate. She was recommended to me by a couple of families.

Dr. Julie Nam is a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon with a private practice in Manhattan.
After graduating from the NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Nam completed her ophthalmology residency and pediatric ophthalmology & strabismus surgery fellowship at New York University Medical Center and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly
My son has amblyopia and Dr. Nam was the only doctor that suggested eye therapy (patching). My son worked hard on it for years and now he is patch, and soon, eyeglass free! There was many ups and downs over the years but she stayed steady and confident, that it would work. She provided us with the current research and data about optical-neural development that allowed us to match her confidence, which was important for our son to keep patching his eye. I would highly recommend Dr. Nam to any family.
