She was very patient and showed me the xrays and explained what it showed. And told me about the surgery I could decide to have. And said maybe you want to try the cortisone shots again, with other doc in office.

The results of my surgery were all that I could have hoped for, and my post-surgery pain was practically non-existent. I felt very comfortable with her right from the beginning. May your experience be as good as mine.

I love Dr. Long and she is an excellent doctor, but this was the second time I she was 60 min behind schedule. The first time I had to reschedule, but this time I waited around. :(

Dr Long is amazing. However the San Ramon office that she goes to once in a while is a complete disaster. They are unorganized, they extremely overbooked, and I waited well over an hour this morning for an x-ray. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to continue to wait so I had to cancel my appointment after the long wait. The front office in the San Ramon facility needs to be more organized.

She was very knowledgeable and respectful. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is that I felt very rushed.

I waited a long time to see Dr Long and caught her on a day when she was running behind and she was clearly rushing. One person had left the waiting room and rescheduled after getting fed up with the wait. Maybe I should have done the same because my appointment was rushed. Dr Long asked me 3 or 4 questions, but cut me off before I had finished my answer, which I found frustrating. I didn’t feel like she was really listening to me. The whole appointment couldn’t have been more than 10 minutes for an issue that has bothered me for years, and I waited nearly an hour to be seen, so even 5 more minutes would have greatly improved the appointment. Annoyingly, she and someone in the office both asked me questions that would have been answered if the 8 pages of paperwork I had to fill out to be seen had been read (why waste time and paper having people fill it out if no one is going to review it?). Overall, I left disappointed. Hopefully my next appointment is substantially better.

Julie is a very professional doctor and I highly recommend her to anyone who has any type of back problem. She can explain what's going on with your back so you can really understand what's happening and what you can do with it. I'm very lucky to have her and her staff looking out for me. That is very hard to come by and is very much appreciated.

I felt like Dr. Long was dismissive of the pain I am experiencing and what I had to say. She has set me back in my treatment instead and put me back to square one of my diagnosis.

Outstanding Dr and very thorough!

I have been a patient of Dr. Long for about 18 months. She is the most detailed doctor and explains everything in depth more than any other doctor of dealt with. She has performed two surgeries on me, one in my lower back and one on my neck. I am on a clear path of recovery and I would recommend her to any patient out there.

I had 2 procedures with Dr. Long this year, 2021. First was lower back fusion, second was fusion on my neck. She is nothing short of amazing. Extremely informative, very thorough, explained everything in detail leading up to after each procedure. Her team was just as detailed, mainly Luz Marie and Cynthia Houseman. Both procedures were done at the Stanford campus in Pleasanton California. The team there was just as incredible throughout both procedures.

She was the worst doctor I am in terrible pain and she couldn’t even give me a doctors note for my work I am very disappointed I am a mother of 5 and I thought going to a specialist was gonna give me some kind of peace of mind but I work in a warehouse and it is cold and her recommendation to me was stay out of the cold but couldn’t give me a note she said you’re primary has to give u the note and she said well I will put it in my notes that u shouldn’t work in the cold Then I said so when can I get a work note and she said when he gets my report and I said when will that be she said today or tomorrow meanwhile I have to suffer IN the cold with my back hurting just the lack of empathy and not caring for a patient is just repulsive

Dr Long Nd her assistant Luz Marie have been great! Always responsive and great follow up! I called in early this morning with neck pain and quickly received a call back and was able to see Dr Ling this afternoon! Fantastic patient care experience!

Dr Long seems very knowledgeable. But to wait almost 60 minutes to see her is ridiculous. You do a great job of CONSTANTLY reminding me of my appointment time but you do a horrible job of meeting that time YOU committed to. I don’t have that issue vat Stanford Medical/Valley Care.
