Previous appts. had been great seemed caring. When patients live with chronic illnesses and know their bodies, they come to pcp mostly for insurance, protocol purposes to see specialists, whether for check up, referral, etc.
I was offended by how Dr. Cantu stated you have a lot of things going on medically, i dont need to add anything else for referral, youre a strange case~
As a patient who has survived for 24 + years with chronic illnesses, doctor compassion and respect goes a long way. I am saddened by such negligence of empathy. As a doctor there is an oath, you have no idea how your patient is feeling.
I pray going forward remember compassion is free, patience, and listening speak volumes especially when your patient they did not feel well. Leave doctor education behind because you are a person with family as well. Always consider if that was said to them or treated that way how would you feel?

I felt very comfortable with Dr Cantu. She didn’t seem rushed and allowed me to ask questions about my medical issues which she answered to my satisfaction.

I am very pleased with Dr. Cantu, attentive to my issues. I have always felt as if I was the most important person while being seen.
Dr. Judy Cantu was born and raised in South Texas. When she’s not working to improve the health of her patients, she’s maintaining her own. She loves going to the gym to workout in her spare time and likes to take Zumba classes. Dr. Cantu also enjoys watching tennis and spending time with her friends and family.
Since childhood, Dr. Cantu has dreamed of becoming a doctor. She has always been a person who loved to get to know others and is passionate about bettering the lives of those she meets.
Throughout her career, Dr. Cantu has advocated and fought for each of her patients to receive the best care. She believes that Gonzaba’s philosophy of treating each patient like family and their mission to do the right thing aligns perfectly with her patient goals. She joined the GMG team in 2017.
