Came in this morning with knee and ankle pain. They x-rayed and he went over everything with me.Arthritis is the main problem with knees worn out. Dr. Garbarino give me a shot in the knee. He has to be the best with these shots. I hardly felt it. I have had flu shots that hurt a lot more. Set me up with physical therapy. I trust and feel secure with him as my doctor.

Dr. Garbarino helps patients of all ages enjoy an active lifestyle by treating a wide range of non-operative orthopedic problems. He is board certified in emergency medicine and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and American College of Emergency Physicians.
He previously served as medical director of Carolina West Sports Medicine in Sylva, NC, where he coordinated care of school and college athletes. This often involved treating concussions and non-operative musculoskeletal injuries. In addition to being the team physician for Western Carolina University, he also gave class lectures at the Western Carolina University Athletic Training Education Program. He was named its director in 2012.
When he’s not participating in triathlons, Dr. Garbarino enjoys golfing, cooking BBQ ribs and spending time with his wife and 2 children.
