Dr. Juan D. Parra, M.D., received his medical degree from the Javeriana University Medical School, in Bogota, Colombia where he is originally from. He then went on to complete his residency in general surgery at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He stayed there as a clinical assistant professor until 2011.
Dr. Parra has published several articles and done research on minimally invasive surgery and gastro-esophageal reflux disease. He has strong interest in gastrointestinal surgery, complex abdominal wall hernia surgery, as well as benign and malignant colorectal disease treatment.
