In general, Dr. Khandji was great. She seemed very clear and knowledgable in her communication.
It was my son's first eye exam and I only wish she had just told my son that he was getting drops in his eyes, rather on his "cheeks." I get that giving eye drops to young children isn't easy and that every doctor needs to have a method. But maybe there is a way to do it that doesn't involve fudging the truth. He definitely noticed.

Dr. Joyce Khandji is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon with a private practice in Manhattan.
She graduated from Columbia University, and then earned her M.D. from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. After an internship at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Khandji completed her ophthalmology residency at New York University. Dr. Khandji then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with additional training in Pediatric Oculoplastic Surgery.
