Dr. Toll graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Human Biology, Health, and Society. He worked in EMS for a year between college and medical school. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine. Upon graduating family medicine residency, he started off at York Hospital in Maine providing inpatient and outpatient care. He decided to narrow his practice to just outpatient care so he later joined with Dartmouth Hitchcock Walpole campus and worked there from 2015-2023.
