Doctor Menendez was very nice and explained everything very good.

Dr. Menendez replaced a severe bulging disc, did a spinal fusion, and repaired a 20 year old fracture. My pain is completely gone. I had lived with this for 20 years. I am extremely thankful for him and his staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Menendez since late June of 2022. He performed my 8th back surgery on July 22, 2022. My back was in a mess from a shifting plate from previous surgery. Words cannot express my gratitude for what Dr. Menendez did for me. Wish he had been old enough to have done my first surgery in 1998. I lived with back pain for over 5 years because every doctor I went to refused to take me seriously. My right leg had gone almost completely numb, but still "nothing was wrong". Dr. Menendez is the first doctor that took me seriously and did a discectomy and gave me my life back. I can finally walk without a cane or wheelchair, I can feel my leg, and I no longer have excruciating back pain. Dr. Menendez always listens and tries to help my situation, even if it is not always possible to correct surgically because of my age.

I had a spinal fusion (S1/ L5) in April three weeks later and I m back at work. Three months later everything looks great and healing as expected. The few times I need to get in touch with his office they were very quick to respond after leaving a message. Dr. Menendez was the second surgeon I had seen in regard to the nerve pain in my leg’s we new after the first visit he would be the one I would use. He has a great personality and does a good job of explaining the problems and how to fix it.

The doc seemed rushed and preoccupied, and spent less than 5 minutes with me after waiting an hour to see him. He gave his spill quickly, shook my hand and left.

You absolutely will not find a better Neurosurgeon and staff, that are on top of their field. Their attention to every minuscule detail, while maintaining efficiency is incredible. I simply could not rate them anything other than “off the charts” in the positive direction, while creating a perpetual increasing of knowledge in the field of Neuroscience.

Great bedside manner, he has a great personality, he explains what he sees on the images as well as answers all your questions. He doesn’t want you to make a decision then, but go home read over the information and PRAY ABOUT what you should do next. He was highly recommended to me and I must say I see why.

I met Dr Menendez yesterday for the first time and In happy to say he was one of the nicest and most personable Des I have met since moving to Alabama. He immediately made me feel comfortable by shaking my hand and smiling and making me feel less nervous about the reason I was there. He listened to me, and I meant really listened and he did not just dismiss my needs or concerns. He seemed to be actually interested in helping me too feel better instead of making me feel as if I was a burden, as other doctors have done. Best surgeon ever! More importantly, great person... one who “ really cares” I will not hesitate if the need fir additional procedures are needed in the future.! I’ve experienced many surgeries due to former athletic endeavors but thus spinal fusion surgery performed recently by him... well, the best!

Yesterday was my first time meeting him. I was very pleased with my office visit he wanted to know every thing that was going on and requested I have another MRI before proceeding.

I believe Dr. Menendez is interested in taking care of me - finding out the root of my pain and seeing through with necessary steps in getting rid of it or, at the least, getting it under control.

I havent seen dr Menendez yet. I've had 4 appt 3 of which the office called and had to reschedule and the most resent was me who reschedule after waiting in his office with several ppl ahead of me and dr Menendez was still in surgery. I will wait to see him bc I've heard he was one of the best.

Arrived 15 minutes early waited in waiting lobby for 1 hour 45 minutes and there were approximately 8 people ahead of me. Due to having another appointment (which was scheduled before and I allowed time for both). I had to leave. Not happy that my debit card was taken when I signed in and was charged before I left.

Dr Josh is a very competent surgeon,who is also very relatable and will listen to your voice..I recommend Dr Josh at his Trussville clinic rather than his partnership with St Vincents Dwtn Bham location,I was very insulted and demeaned by a certain senior physician who was the overall director of the clinic..after sucessful neck surgery,I was in Dwtn location for post op checkup in Dr Josh's absense was attended by his partner..The senior phys and his senior nurse insinuated I was a drug addic

An exceptional Neurosurgical MD. I read more horror tales about the same surgery I had on 12 Jul 2019 and today 6 Nov 2019 I was told to "go out and enjoy life return to normal activities." Went there in pain and left with pain. The Doctor did not seem interested addressing my pain right then, only in cutting on me in my back...Surgery. I thought a doctor would consider every possible alternative with surgery being the last result. Who wants to go from leg pain to back and leg pain?
