Dr Meaike was pleasant, good to visit with, thorough in his questions, and painless in giving my thumb joint steroid injection — which does seem to be helping.

He asked the questions and listened to my answers. He was in the exam room within 2-3 minutes of my appointed time. He is courteous, precise and explains procedure in terms I can understand.

Friendly , talked me about my hand and how he could treat it. Also talked about my Caramel tunnel on both my right and left hand. Explained in language I could understand. I liked him very much.

Before joining Orthopedic Institute in 2024, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN followed by an additional year of upper extremity specialty training at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, IN including Microsurgical certification.
His patient-first approach drives him to understand each individual’s best path forward. He is grateful to join Orthopedic Institute because of the experience of the team, the culture of the organization, and the values he shares – all of which allow for exceptional patient care.
During his free time, Dr. Meaike and his wife enjoy staying active with their two young children. They especially enjoy the outdoors, running and hiking.
