Describe some of your job duties:
I see patients in the clinic, diagnose orthopedic conditions and formulate treatment plans. When treating sports medicine and orthopedic conditions, I utilize operative and non-operative treatment options. I also provide coverage for local sporting events and complete administrative duties at our clinic, the Ambulatory Surgical Center and St. Michael’s Hospital.
What is your favorite thing about working at SPO?
I enjoy working at SPO because of the kind people and positive atmosphere.
What is your greatest accomplishment at work?
My greatest accomplishment at work is restoring quality of life for patients.

I’ll claim two...Youngstown, OH and Morton, IL
Hobbies:
When I’m not at the clinic I enjoy running, fishing, golfing, hunting, watching football, exploring our state parks and playing video games.
Family/Pets:
My wonderful wife, Mary, and I have four boys together (Ben, Noah, Josiah, and Nathan). The boys and I, along with our Lhasa-poodle, Zeke, love to play all the sports the boys enjoy.

Dr. Troyer is an exceptional surgeon whose skill, compassion, and dedication truly set him apart. From the very first consultation, he demonstrated a level of care and thoroughness that immediately put me at ease. He takes the time to listen, answer every question, and explain procedures in a clear, reassuring way. His compassionate approach and genuine concern for his patients’ well-being are evident in every interaction. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been under his care and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a surgeon who combines medical excellence with heartfelt compassion.
Great guy,explanation of my options. Also explanation of what's going on in my shoulder.even though it wasn't great news. He did give me an alternative option. Seems like an honest guy who really cares about is best for his patients

Very informative. Helped me make a decision that was what I’d needed to do. His PA student, Michael was very open, great listener & easy to relate to.
Dr Troyer is top notch in my book! He did a reverse shoulder replacement on my left shoulder 3 years ago. Only thing I have with that should is some tightness when I reach toward the small of my back, (putting my belt through the loops, no discomfort, and that is slowly getting better). I have total confidence that my right shoulder will be the same. I would highly recommend to anybody with shoulder issues to see Dr Troyer. I can only give him a 5 star rating if there were 10 stars I would have give a 10 star rating.
Dr Troyer and the teams a Stevens Point Ortho are outstanding. Very professional, personal and excellent patient care throughout.
Josh is knowledgeable, listens to me, answers questions directly and clearly, recommends solutions, and is patient with his patient.
