Joseph Slappey Jr, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Slappey is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with particular interests in knee and shoulder injuries, sports medicine, arthroscopy and total joint replacement.

Dr. Slappey served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery for Mercer University School of Medicine and serves the local community as team physician for area high school & college athletic teams.

Dr. Slappey is known as one of a select few orthopaedic surgeons now certified in Orthotripsy treatment using what is known as the Ossatron.

Shoulder Care: Including total shoulder joint replacement, bursitis, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff pathology and repair, arthritis, impingement, joint restoration/preservation, and fracture care.

Sports Medicine: Including arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair, meniscus pathology, cartilage restoration, fracture care, and joint restoration/preservation.
