This was my first visit with Dr. Nowatzke. Not all doctors consider you a partner
in your treatment. Dr. Nowatzke is one who does. He seeks input when he makes a recommendation and
is willing to listen. I consider myself fortunate to have him as my doctor.

I have already recommended Dr. Nowatzke to my mother as I found him refreshing compared to most physicians I regularly see. He took time to answer all my questions. Made me feel seen and heard and Jen most physicians make me feel disregarded. I will continue to recommend him.

Dr. Nowatzke was born in Muncie, Indiana, and grew up in Ohio. He graduated cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and subsequently graduated from Central Michigan University College of Medicine in Saginaw, MI. Dr. Nowatzke completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He stayed at Vanderbilt to complete his cardiology fellowship. During his training, he authored several academic publications and book chapters spanning topics from healthcare delivery and quality improvement to cardio-oncology.
His interest in cardio-oncology led him to spend a dedicated year of training in this subspeciality and obtain a certificate acknowledging his unique expertise. He also developed a skillset in multi-modality imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac computed tomography (CT), and vascular imaging. Additionally, he was part of quality improvement initiatives focused on promoting efficient care and meeting patient needs in a complex medical system.
He is now happy to enjoy Florida living with his wife and daughter as part of the Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants group, where he strives to bring a patient-centered approach to the team.
