Dr. Joseph Johnson has a passion for ocular disease management and interprofessional relations. His hard work and drive has helped him achieve many accomplishments. First, he graduated Brigham Young University in 2014 where he majored in Exercise Science. He continued his education at Southern College of Optometry in which he not only graduated Magna Cum Laude, but he was also recognized for his achievements, including the Ocular Instruments Award. During his residency at Eye Associates of New Mexico, Dr. Johnson trained under several excellent optometrists and ophthalmologists with specific training from ophthalmology subspecialties (cornea, glaucoma, retina, neuro-ophthalmology).

Dr. Johnson was very thorough with his examination and let me know of an underlying problem that needed to be checked with more testing. I appreciate a Doctor who takes the time to explain the problem. I did not feel rushed.
