A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Jestus received his medical degree in 1991 from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Recruited right out of residency by CRMC, Dr. Jestus moved with his family to Cookeville and started the neurosurgical program here.
Dr. Jestus is a diplomate to the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, the Tennessee Medical Association, and the Putnam County Medical Society. He also serves as chairman of the Surgery Quality Committee at CRMC.
While not practicing medicine, Dr. Jestus enjoys training for road races and spending time with his family.
