He completed his Fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology from the Ohio State University in June 2000. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and Hematology.
He is married to Dr. Marietta Hofmeister and has four children, three daughters, Brigitte, Abby and Isabelle and a son Theodor.
