Dr. Hagman is the most patient oriented doctor. I have met in a very, very long time. He’s young well this way he’s younger than I am and it’s been years since I’ve come across someone who you would actually call old school because the people I’m referring to aren’t even alive anymore and yet he encompasses the intelligence the expertise and also friendliness that all kind of goes into a really nice package of someone who seems to actually genuinely care about the patient as a whole and not just his narrow vision of the job specialty that he picked. He provides easy access to get a question to him and unbelievably quick Responses which makes you feel like if something goes wrong. It’s at least one person and his area that can help you eagerly.
So if you can pass this on to Dr. Hagman, I’d appreciate it. I’ve told him directly to him his face of what I think of him how much I value him and to include the human side is also a really nice guy.

Dr. Joseph Hagman, M.D., has over 26 years of experience as an interventional radiologist, including 20 years at Baylor Scott and White. He specializes in minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins, restoring blood flow and relieving symptoms. “Improving the circulatory system really makes a difference in a patient’s health, including reducing the chance of a blood clot. Patients feel better, symptoms resolve, abnormal skin veins go away, and that leads to happy campers,” he says.
Dr. Joseph Hagman never wants his patients to feel rushed, and he takes the time to listen to their questions. He also spends time educating patients about vein disease and how easily bad veins can be treated. Patients have direct access to him for any questions, challenges or even to share a bad joke.
After attending Baylor University for his undergraduate degree, Dr. Hagman studied at Texas Tech Medical School. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of Kansas, Wichita and continued his training with an interventional radiology fellowship at UTMB Galveston. He is board-certified and the recipient of multiple awards. A quote that describes his practice philosophy is “People remember how well you did it over how fast you did it.”
While Dr. Hagman is passionate about performing life-changing procedures on his patients, he especially enjoys follow-up visits. “Patients typically say the cramping, throbbing, and restlessness are resolving,” he says. His greatest reward is getting a “thank you” from grateful patients and hearing about their improved quality of life.
Dr. Hagman is very family-oriented. He and his wife have three children, with whom he loves to spend time. He also enjoys comic books, softball, biking, cactuses, and slot cars. He strives to be mentally and physically optimal for his family and patients.
Dr. Hagman is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to the Flower Mound and Southlake locations of StrideCare.
