He specializes in surgical and non-surgical spinal care of both adult and pediatric patients from neck and back pain to complex reconstructive spinal procedures. Dr. Brindise is an expert in surgical spinal care at all levels of the spine and is also a firm believer in aiding the body’s ability to heal itself through conservative treatment modalities whenever possible. He is well liked by his patients and colleagues and is often recognized for his effective communication skills and his comforting bedside manner.
Dr. Brindise routinely preforms all aspects of spinal surgery – cervical, thoracic and lumbar, and has a passion for minimally invasive surgery, for conditions such as:
Herniated discs
Spinal arthritis/stenosis
Spondylolisthesis
Compression fractures/spinal trauma
Degenerative disc disease

Failed spinal surgery
Dr. Brindise began his study at Purdue University completing a degree in mechanical engineering. He earned his doctorate at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated valedictorian. During that time he also was selected to the prestigious pre-doctoral osteopathic manipulative medicine fellowship focusing on neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery through Michigan State University at Beaumont Health-Farmington Hills, Botsford Campus. He distinguished himself during residency and was a chief resident. He went on to complete a combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery fellowship in Houston, Texas where he worked with world class surgeons at nationally ranked hospitals such as Houston Methodist Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining the ROC family he practiced at the Illinois Spine Institute.
Scholastically, Dr. Brindise has delivered numerous lectures, poster presentations and workshops as well as published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters all of which have pertained to the spine, orthopaedics and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
Outside of medicine you will find Dr. Brindise enjoying outdoor activities, including distance running, cycling, and attempting to master the art of meat smoking and barbeque. Dr. Brindise grew up in the Chicago suburbs and is very excited to be back, planting his own family’s roots with his wife and three boys.

I like Doctor Brindise a lot, but I’ve been left a bit confused. I do not wish to take pain medication, and agreed on patches. I’ve had ablations, but continue to have the pain. What is my long term as I live daily with the pain in both my lumber, and my cervicales. The level continues to increase especially to my shoulders and down my arms. I’m unable to use the plastic patches.
