This was my first experience with Raleigh Orthopedic! For me, this was a great experience!! Dr. Barker is an excellent surgeon!!! This clinic is the best across the board in clinical care!!

I couldn't say enough about how knowledgeable, yet how caring and approachable Dr. Barker was with my care. This was a second opinion visit, but I am definitely staying with this practice!

Today was my first appointment with doctor Barker. He made me feel welcome and comfortable. Paid attention to my medical history and recent MRI and X/ ray results, explained and planned for my surgery. I look forward for my shoulder surgery.

Dr.Barker did an excellent job with my 70 year old legally blind mom, she hurt her left shoulder a while ago and she wanted to see orthopedic doctor and since she had always taking us as kids to Raleigh Orthopedic as young children and teenagers on Glenwood avenue , she told me to find a Orthopedic doctor and I said they have an Raleigh orthopedic doctor near your house in Garner,NC, so I called late last Friday afternoon and was able to get her appointment on Monday which was awesome. He came in a explained everything he was about to do for her evaluation and asked her did she have any questions and she said no, so he started the evaluation, he was very careful with her and check on her at every step of the process and he completed the process gave her a diagnosis and got her the needed treatment and relief for my mom!

Dr. Barker performed right shoulder surgery on me on September 2020 and I am like new. Went back to have my left shoulder checkout and he did a outstanding job as usual. I highly recommend Dr. Joseph Barker.

We pay 12 to 20,000 a year in ins premiums+ deductibles,+ Co Pays, and what ever else they can to charge THANKS!!!!! I don't know how people can afford it i guess some of us will just suffer through it

Much shorter wait time to see Dr. Barker today. My last appointment, I had to wait forty five (45) minutes before being seen. This was after fifteen (15) minutes check in. So practically had to wait one (1) hour to see him.

I did not feel like he took the time to understand my case. He was in and out with in five minutes. I didn’t feel as though it was a helpful or useful experience and I still feel helpless when it comes to my knee pain and condition.

He diagnosed that I had a SLAP tear in my shoulder within minutes of our first visit which was later confirmed by an MRI (something another surgeon misdiagnosed a year earlier). He helped me make the difficult decision of whether to get surgery. The surgery went perfectly and I've recovered well. Dr. Barker is a great listener and cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.

He reconstructed my ACL 2 years ago. My physical therapist was amazed at my speedy progress. Now my son's therapist is saying the same thing about his ACL, also reconstructed by Dr. Barker.
