Comment he made. Referral did not approve X-ray, therefore could not take one. All referrals I have seen to date, have not specified specific steps. I believe it was in his power to do an x-ray. Impression of no interest in me.

I have been a patient for over 20 years and the service has not changed in scheduling, knowledge, compassion, comprehension and assessment. Dr. Ortega is an old school doctor; meaning he explains your condition step by step, and he never looks away when he talks to the patient. He does not sugar coat the diagnosis. He tells you what your treatment plan will consist and how it will be done. He is very friendly and his staff emasculate. They care about the patient and not the building. I love the service.

It was the weird appointment I’ve ever been. My son had a terrible neck pain, they took my son’s neck X-Ray, then Dr Ortega came, asked few questions and scared us saying that what he was seeing in the X-Ray seems very rare as he hasn’t seen that for a long time then he said he needed to make a call and left the room then he came back few minutes later saying nobody answered the call and I need to take my son to see another doctor, a pediatric doctor. Then I asked about any recommendation he could do for us to alleviate the pain on my son’s neck, like sleep position, etc.. and he said hold on and just left the room again. Then the nurse came back with the referral for the another doctor and have a good day! Neve so the doctor again. So crazy!

I waited and hour and 10 minutes before being called to a room.The dr spent 5 minutes with me. Did not explain the surgery he said I needed and he walked out of the room I didn’t even know we were done. A woman came in and said the surgical coordinator would call me within 3 days. I never heard from anyone even after leaving a message. I’ve been in so much pain I had to see another dr for treatment. Very very disappointing experience all around.

I feel strongly that he did not take my case seriously enough. I am in so much pain , but did not have any further tests to actually see what damage was done and how to treat the problem. He did see a white spot on my X-ray, but was unclear what it may have been. So basically I left the office without a diagnosis or plan of treatment. Perhaps if he ordered an MRI , diagnosed the source of the pain , it would have been a step forward . The pain that I’m experiencing has prevented me from sleeping, or lying down for 7 days now. I cannot use my hand nor lift my arm at all. I was hoping for a positive outcome after visiting Dr. Ortega.
