Our experience was difficult. Unfortunately, the doctor was not very friendly or approachable. Almost every question we asked seemed to turn into an argument or disagreement. He also seemed to have very little patience when speaking with patients and did not always communicate in a considerate way. I understand that Alzheimer’s disease has no cure and that treatment options can be limited, but I felt that he was very strict about recommending only one medication or approach to eating without being open to our questions or concerns. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, and perhaps he was having one that day. However, I believe that doctors should always try to treat their patients and their families with patience, respect, and compassion. That is simply my opinion based on our experience.

No bedside manner, walked into room dint bother to introduce himself. Cold no empathy. All business, you would think he’d have some compassion given the nature of the visit. Liked his pa better.

This was by far the worst experience I ever had with a Doctor. After waiting to see a dr for over a month, he gave me a total of 5 minutes. I won’t ever waist my time with this person.

He is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, very nice, good approach at discussing my case with me and he gives appropriate recommendations and plan of treatment. I am blessed to have Dr Santiago as my neurologist.
