Before joining Gonzaba in 2025, Dr. Bermea previously worked at Alamo Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, University Health, and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He served as Chief Resident at one of the largest Family Medicine residency programs in the country, at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center-Permian Basin, in Odessa, TX. He specializes in Family Medicine and Hospital Medicine.
Both healthcare and family are very important to Dr. Bermea. On why he chose Gonzaba Medical Group, Dr. Bermea shares, “Family has always played a big role in my life. When I found a medical group that values family as much as I do, I knew this would be a perfect place for me”.
Dr. Bermea enjoys staying physically active, and the quiet adventures of hunting, especially during the fall and winter seasons.
