Dr Jose Bermea truly listens to me when I share my health issues. Not once has he made me feel rushed during my appointment time with him. I also always write a list of things that I would like to go over with him and we go through it together, one by one. Before we end the appt he confirms with me that we have addressed all of my concerns.
It feels great to be heard and not rushed by your primary care doctor.

Before joining Gonzaba in 2025, Dr. Bermea previously worked at Alamo Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, University Health, and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He served as Chief Resident at one of the largest Family Medicine residency programs in the country, at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center-Permian Basin, in Odessa, TX. He specializes in Family Medicine and Hospital Medicine.
